Tarot cards for mental magic

The tarot deck consists of a deck of 78 playing cards. They are used as divination cards, or for psychological purposes. In magic, you'll find kinship in mental feats.

The game is divided into the major arcana, the 22 trumps numbered 0 through 21, and the minor arcana, the 56 suit cards: ten numbers and four face cards in four each Farben (e.g. staves, coin, chalices and swords). The word Arcanum comes from Latin and means something like "secret". It derives from the Word  Ark off what"Box" means. What is in a box is not visible from the outside and is therefore "invisible" or "secret".

The tarot cards belong to the family of tarock playing cards, their history is identical until the end of the 18th century. Subsequently, (tarot) card decks, which are explicitly intended as tools of interpretation, were increasingly given symbolic content. In several languages (e.g. French, English, Spanish) the word Tarot also used today for fortune telling as well as for tarot playing cards.
