Jojos with centrifugal clutch and without
There are basically two different types of yo-yos. Those with a rigid axis that the cord is tied. This type of jojo is particularly common in cheaper executions. With more expensive jojos, the axis runs in a ball bearing. This turns much longer because there is less friction. With more modern jojos there are also models with a centrifugal clutch. If the yo -yo is thrown down enough quickly, it turns on the thread loop until the clutch is hung up again with a small jerk and the cord rolls up again.
